Hi... I'm Robert
I was born, raised, and live in Chicago. This was once a great industrial city. In my high school years, I worked in my share of factories and was impressed with and saw great beauty in the process, the machinery, and the tools.
In 1980 I attended The School of the Art Institute to study Drawing and Painting. It was there I took a Forging class. I saw that by simply heating steel you could make it do anything you wanted. I was hooked and still am. I eventually branched out to making Furniture, Architectural items like Staircases, Railings and Accessories.
These Bowls, Candelabra, and Tool Sculptures are a small sampling of my work. Enjoy!
